WBC Online – Sunday May 3rd, 2020

By on May 1, 2020

Welcome to our online service.  Today is the first Sunday in Global Interaction’s (GIA) May Missions Month.  So instead of Richard speaking, we have the blessing of watching Scott Pilgrim, GIA’s executive director introduce the topic for GIA’s focus and unpack a little of Acts 15:1-29.  (The video will say you can’t watch it here, so just click on “vimeo” link and you will get to the right place.) Over the next month or so, we will be viewing some messages from other respected pastors as we see ourselves in God’s universal mission to His world.

Our songs this week were selected by Mel Coad, so expect to experience the same spiritual sensitivity she shows on a Sunday morning in this selection.  Heloise Winson has brought our prayer focus today, which will challenge us to our very core (if we let it).

One of the things I love about worship is that we only ever really have an audience of one – and only God’s opinion really matters because only He can see our heart.  So sing, pray, listen and engage as if it matters to God, because it actually does.

Great are you Lord – Sons and Daughters

Leave me Astounded – Planet shakers

Famous – Tauren Wells

Holy Spirit- Jesus culture

(Song while you have Communion)

White Flag – Chris Tomlin

  • Sermon 1: Faith not Religion is Central

Faithful – Chris Tomlin

Mel thank you for using the song Famous For by Tauren Wells I needed to hear that.
The link for the message didn’t go to Scott Higgins speaking. However it was challenging.

Thanks Judy. You are right, it wasn’t Scott Higgins, it was Scott Pilgrim speaking.
